Biography
Andrew Ansley is an AI consultant, software founder, and Search Engine Land contributor. His work sits at the intersection of search, information retrieval, agentic software, and marketing operations.
He entered marketing through research and problem solving, then moved into technical SEO, enterprise content systems, and entity research. His Search Engine Land work includes a definitive guide to entity SEO and a primary-source analysis of Google's leaked Content Warehouse documentation.
Today he builds MCP Scraper, Thorbit, and the practical systems around them: tools that gather current web evidence, retain useful memory, coordinate specialized agents, and turn research into repeatable work.
What I believe
The useful part of an AI system is rarely the model alone. It is the surrounding orchestration: what the system can read, what it remembers, how it verifies work, and where a human keeps control.
I use “search everywhere optimization” to describe the broader job of earning visibility and turning that visibility into business results across search engines, AI systems, platforms, and the sources they rely on.
